Seamless Gutters & Gutter Repair in Pittsburgh, PA

Seamless gutter installation, replacement, and repair that keeps water off your roof, siding, and foundation.

Ireland Contracting is a Pittsburgh gutter company handling seamless gutter installation, gutter replacement, and gutter repair across Allegheny County and the surrounding suburbs. We form seamless aluminum gutters on-site to your home's exact roofline, hang them at the right pitch, and place downspouts so water discharges well away from the foundation, the first line of defense against fascia rot, wet basements, and ice dams.

Gutter repair in Pittsburgh: sagging runs, separated seams, loose hangers, leaking end caps, and crushed or disconnected downspouts can usually be fixed without replacing the whole system. We re-pitch and re-hang sections, reseal joints, replace failed hangers and downspouts, and get water moving again. If the gutters are rusted through, pulling away from rotten fascia, or undersized for the roof, we'll tell you plainly that replacement is the better value.

Gutter replacement and new installation: we measure your roof area and pitch, size the gutters and downspouts for the region's downpours, and fabricate seamless 5" or 6" aluminum gutters on-site in the color that matches your trim. Because the runs are seamless, there are far fewer joints to leak, clog, or pull apart than with sectional gutters from a home center.

One thing we don't do: built-in box gutters. Ireland Contracting installs and repairs standard seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts only. If your older Pittsburgh home has box gutters recessed into the roof edge, you'll need a specialist in that type of system.

Gutter guards are available with any installation or repair to cut the leaf and needle load from Pittsburgh's mature trees, and gutter work pairs naturally with our soffit, fascia, and roofing services when the roof edge needs attention too.

A gutter that's pulling away is usually a fascia problem underneath. See our soffit and fascia repair .

Gutters on Pittsburgh's hills, trees, and winters

Pittsburgh's hilly lots, heavy tree cover, and frequent downpours put real demand on a gutter system. Water that isn't carried away pools against foundations, a serious issue on sloped properties in neighborhoods like Mt. Lebanon, Shaler, and Fox Chapel, and leads to wet basements, foundation cracks, and eroded landscaping. In winter, clogged or poorly pitched gutters feed the ice dams that form at the roof edge.

We size and pitch seamless gutters to your roofline and our region's rainfall, add oversized downspouts where a large roof plane drains to one corner, and offer gutter guards to handle the constant leaf and needle load from the area's mature oaks, maples, and pines.

Our gutters process

  1. 1 Inspection & roofline assessment. We check the existing gutters, hangers, fascia, and downspouts, then measure roof area and pitch so the fix, repair or replacement, is sized correctly.
  2. 2 Repair or on-site fabrication. Repairs are re-pitched, resealed, and re-hung the same visit where possible. For replacements we form seamless gutters on-site to your home's exact measurements.
  3. 3 Installation & downspouts. We hang the gutters at the right pitch on new hangers and place downspouts to carry water well away from the foundation.
  4. 4 Guards, flow test & cleanup. We add gutter protection if chosen, test the flow with water, and clean up completely.

Gutters FAQs

How much does gutter repair or replacement cost in Pittsburgh?

Repair cost depends on how many sections need re-hanging or resealing and whether downspouts are replaced. Replacement cost depends on the linear footage around your roof, 5" vs 6" gutters, and whether you add guards. We provide a free, itemized estimate for your home.

Do you repair gutters, or only replace them?

Both. Sagging runs, leaking seams, loose hangers, and damaged downspouts are usually repairable. We recommend replacement when gutters are rusted through, pulling away from rotten fascia, or too small for the roof they serve.

Do you work on box gutters?

No. Ireland Contracting installs and repairs standard seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts only. Built-in box gutters recessed into the roof edge require a specialist in that system.

Why are seamless gutters better?

Seamless gutters are formed on-site to your home's exact dimensions, so they have far fewer joints to leak, clog, or separate compared to sectional gutters.

Are gutter guards worth it?

For homes under Pittsburgh's mature tree canopy, guards significantly cut cleaning frequency and reduce clogs and overflow. Usually well worth it.

Can new gutters help prevent basement leaks?

Yes. Properly sized and pitched gutters with downspouts that discharge away from the house are one of the most effective defenses against water in the basement.
