How a window job actually runs
Replacement windows are made to order, so the schedule has two halves: a short measuring visit, then installation once your units arrive. Here's the whole sequence, so nothing about it is a surprise.
- 1. In-home measure and consult
- We measure each opening and help you choose frames, glass packages, and styles that suit the room, the architecture, and the budget.
- 2. Custom order
- Your windows are built to your exact opening sizes, which is what produces a genuinely draft-free fit rather than a shimmed approximation.
- 3. Installation
- We remove the old units, install and seal the new ones, and finish the interior and exterior trim cleanly. Most whole-home projects take one to two days; a handful of windows is often a single day.
- 4. Final walkthrough
- We check operation and sealing on every window with you, then clean up completely.
Double-hung, casement, sliding, bay and bow, picture, and specialty shapes are all available, and cost tracks the number of openings, their size, the frame material, and the glass package. That's why the estimate is itemized rather than a price per window.
