Choosing between Pella, Marvin, Andersen, and ProVia
All four are good windows. They're good at different things, and because we don't carry a quota on any one line, we can say so plainly.
- ProVia (vinyl)
- Built with SunShield vinyl for weatherability and color retention under UV and southern exposure. Meets or exceeds AAMA strength and color-retention standards, with a lifetime transferable warranty against chipping, cracking, peeling, and blistering.
- Pella (wood-clad)
- A wood window wrapped in EnduraClad aluminum: warmth on the inside, weather protection outside. EnduraGuard treatment protects the wood against moisture, decay, mold, and termites. Cladding is roll-formed on the Lifestyle Series or extruded on Reserve.
- Marvin (wood)
- Natural wood windows where customisability is the point, with exterior woods including pine, Douglas fir, and Honduran mahogany. The line to look at when the opening is unusual or the house demands a specific profile.
- Andersen (composite and wood)
- We're an Andersen Certified Contractor for two lines. The 100 Series is built from Fibrex composite, a step up from vinyl that takes dark colors inside and out. The A-Series pairs a solid wood interior with a low-maintenance exterior for architectural looks. Both carry Andersen's transferable Owner-to-Owner limited warranty, 20 years on the glass.
