What Pittsburgh homeowners say
"This is the third time using Ireland Contracting. My decks and railings look great. Tim, Rudy, and the crew did a great job. Very professional. Thank you."
"Rick, Rudy, and the Ireland Contracting team did an absolutely amazing job on our siding, front porch, and back deck. They went above and beyond, even bringing up cool ideas and ways to make the job even prettier than we imagined."
"Our sales consultant, Rick Dunder, had the crew well organized doing siding and deck replacement. I was told the job would be done by 3 o'clock; his crew had everything perfect, cleaned up, and loaded by 12:30! The crew was courteous and efficient, and I would definitely use them again."

Decking, railing, and a straight answer on materials
Composite generally lasts longer and needs far less maintenance than wood, but it costs more upfront. Pressure-treated timber is cheaper to build and needs regular sealing to stay sound. Neither is the right answer for everyone, and we'll tell you which way we'd lean for your deck and how you actually use it.
- TimberTech decking
- PVC and composite boards that don't splinter, stain, or rot, and resist moisture, mold, fading, and insect damage. Up to 85% recycled content, with more than 20 finishes across nine collections.
- Railing to match
- Low-maintenance vinyl in matte white or khaki; powder-coated aluminum with narrow balusters for up to 30% less view obstruction; or composite railing that reads as painted wood and never needs painting.
- Warranty range
- Fade and stain warranties run from 25 years up to lifetime depending on the line you choose. We'll show you where the step-ups actually are so you're not paying for cover you don't need.
- Deck replacement and repair, not only new builds
- Not every tired deck needs to come down. We replace rotted boards and stair treads, re-secure railings, and add missing hangers and ledger bolts. When the frame is soft or the ledger has been leaking into the house, we say so, and an old wood deck with a sound frame can often be resurfaced in composite instead of rebuilt.
Every deck is built to code with the substructure detailed properly, the part nobody sees and everybody relies on. Our deck builders work out of Glenshaw and handle new deck installation, replacement, and repair across Allegheny, Butler, and Beaver counties, so if you searched for a deck builder or deck contractors near you, that is us. You get an itemized written estimate before any work starts.
